My people! I am on my knees begging you all to forgive me for my grave abandonment. In fact, in the time we spent apart from each other, a baby could have been delivered *prematurely* lol. I won’t waste too much time but I am sorry for taking such a long hiatus without any explanation. As a final year student, senioritis was doing me bad and the laziness was real. Unfortunately, my blog suffered for that. The point is I am back, and we will continue our business as usual. Read more
Hey folks, Your girl is back with new things. Happy New Year!!! I am taking a Black Lives Matter class, and myself and two other lovely ladies, Magali and Mikkala, decided to do a segment on this blog titled: She Matters. We hope to discuss issues that affect Black women in America, and give shout-outs to Black women who are making moves in America and abroad. Our first piece today is by Magali, and is a tribute to Kamal Harris. Read more
Hey folks, I am back. This semester was tough, but the good news is: I am officially a final year student. I am so excited, and so grateful to God for His favors. However, I apologize deeply for grossly neglecting my blog. The funny thing is that I have various posts that are in progress, but I am doing research on them, as a result, they aren’t ready for publication. That being said, I hope you are all doing well. I will do my best to be frequent this summer.
Hello everyone and happy easter! Many people have been asking about me and I am sorry for the absence. Your girl is a student first and foremost, as a result, my studies takes precedence. However we are here, so let’s do this.

I have been blogging for a year today. I can’t believe it. I remember when I first started, I didn’t know anything about blogging, and now, I still know very little. Blogging was something I had been wanting to do for a while, and during my Jan term break, I decided to give it a shot. There were times when I would blog consistently, and other times when I would be MIA, but in all, God has been faithful. Thank you to all my readers because your support gave me the courage to continue. For all those looking to start something new this year without knowing how, get your laptop out now and google it. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it had to have started someday. Put the doubts aside and take the first step, believe me the rest will come as well. Read more
Just like last weekend, this weekend held lots of promises and it didn’t disappoint. We packed our bags on Thursday night in preparation for our four-day safari. I didn’t know what to expect. The only safari I had ever been on was at Disney World in Florida and in my book that don’t count. Out of everything on this trip, this was the part were I was entirely clueless. Read more
It’s our second week here, and I am definitely sleeping better. I still take uncontrollable naps in the afternoons but that can’t be jet lag anymore. Last weekend was packed, so compared to that, this week was very chill. As usual, I will give a breakdown of days’ events and what I loved and learnt from them. Read up on my weekend here Read more
So part 1 ended at my adventures on Friday, so this post encompasses my first weekend here. Because our weekdays are filled with lots of work, our professor put in a lot of tourism into our weekend. It was fun to do because we got to see parts and works in Kenya that wasn’t limited to what our specific NGOs or Daraja were doing. Read more
